friendship
my 18 years on earth has made me wonder
if friends are more important that your mother
but the other day someone told me
that friends are like ships in a harbour

ships will come and ships will leave
and when they leave than you will grieve
but one day you have to understand
that you can't hold too tightly t0 your friend

because if you try to anchor the ship
ie hold to you friend with too tight a grip
the magic of friendship will be gone
as your friend will be withered and torn

a ship that is anchored to shore
is no good to anyone anymore
even if its sails catch the breeze
it cannot explore the seven seas

so if you have to hold your friend
hold with your heart and not your hand
you don't have to beg or implore
for a true friend will always return to shore
