its... 2006!

Au revoir, 2005. Selamat datang, 2006.

2005, the turning point of my life. full of drama. haha.

2006, the year of anticipation, excitement, and launching out. a year to grow, to learn, to heal, to forgive, to forget, to make a difference for Him. a year to acknowledge my fears, insecurities, pride, short temperedness, irresponsibilities, pettiness, selfishness - in short, my many weaknesses - and to lay everything down at the feet of my Risen Saviour, to strive "to be a better man." (haha this song title reminds me of that skin and bones classmate of mine, future successful lawyer, current commando... :D )

many things to blog about which i haven been blogging about. its a general feeling of erm, business. haha. which is somewhat ironic actually cos i should be the most free amongst everyone else my age. but there really seems to be a lot of things to do, or otherwise i just wanna relac one corner :) hehe.

lets just see what are some memorable things i've been through and have not blogged about :)

dinner with my dearest mei yesterday night :) its been such a long time since we had such a long, heart-to-heart talk... she's my special mei, my only mei (apart from her mei hehe) and truly one of a kind. Nothing is a coincidence, my dear. God has blessed me with you... :)

helping lydia (my fellow cell group girl!) out at her chinatow bazaar. to visit her store, kindly exit from exit a of chinatow mrt, you'll find yourself at pagoda street, with plenty to look at. dia's shop is unit no 2H, selling bags, pretty sparkling ladies slippers, and women's clothes. in my opinion, nice stuff, which explains why my 'salary' on the sat i helped out was all converted into her shop wares :) oh yes, clare and chris dropped by to visit on one of the nights! so fun... hahaha. only thing though, is how bad the weather has been, which seriously affects the crowd. c'mon, who wld wanna be out on a cold rainy day? which explains why i spent today at home! (whee finally a whole day at home, how nice. hehe)

let's see. may k box sessions. with clare and chris, with shu cheryl kah hua, with kor and his friends, with kor ad my cousin. teeheehee. all pretty fun and memorable. ad of cos, it rocks to go with my kor cos he pays for me :D what a nice loving brother i have... :)
hmmm. chris really has good vocals in my humble opinion. i wonder what Mr Dennis Goh would comment about his voice? his voice is nice to listen to, and pretty unique. why on earth did you need so much wheedling from us before u would finally sing, you silly boy?!?! TSK. haha.
that whole day spent with clare, chris, and my darling, was really fun... i think the things we did were quite unusual too! haha, this is called creative, k! :) all thanks to me :D *ego ego* whoops, hehe :) first, k lunch. wei siong came later unfortunately. but wells still enjoyed myself singing with clare dear! (i've never been to me, dream of me... but dun have 'ultimate' leh!!! so sad. haha :P) and together, wheedling that 'shy' boy to sing. and me going crazy and any old how singing :D and taking photos OF COURSE! heheheh :D
couldnt go cycling at once as planned after k lunch cos of the rain, so we went to parkway to gai gai! where we got our brainwave to have an impromptu picnic dinner :) and a good dinner it was too... simple and nice :) bread with cheese with different sorts of ham with salmon mayo... make your own sandwich! *clare eats very little! girl ah... dun starve yourself ok? :)* and for appetizer, there was.... tada! a bag of lays sour cream n onion chips :D *our fave! :)*
and dessert afterwards was... log cake! a cute miniature one... n we each brought back one little xmas orament :) *wonders if chris has already thrown his away or misplaced it* and to wash everything down, there was.... a lil bottle of some alcoholic drink hehe. quite nice, we each had a few sips hehe. dinner was after 2 hours of cycling... we went all the way to the left, to changi safra. hehe. where we erm, 'attacked' them, haha! so fun :D
and oh yes... clare and i, cycling along, singing praises to our Lord... lovely... :) the after-dinner-activity was special, too. sparklers galore! we used up half the 100 pieces box of the noisy sparklers (the ones we played with at esplanade the night the 7 of us stayed out the whole night after 天天火锅 ... :) took photos and made that big heart in the sand... and clare dear wrote some stuff too :) in conclusion - the four of us had a lovely day. ~beams~ except that chris has to learn how to say nicer things about me! muahaha :P

CODA! Raffles Rewinds :) or something liddat. nat was nice, he let me play the solo :) wish i had played it as well as i did during the rehersal though. anyway, i guess i used to take performing on stage somewhat for granted... after all in band, there r always upcoming concerts and all. but now that i've graduated from jc... its not the same anymore. so i really treasured to opportunity to perform in this concert, and esp to play the solo :) the concert was good! i enjoyed myself thoroughly (tho on reading ginny's blog i gather she found it boring haha), what with all the funny gimmicks... my section with our santa hats and loud ties... hehe :) and of cos, concerts are such wonderful chances to take photos with dear friends! was glad that my ltb mates, adrian BK lionel came... :D oh yes, adrian liked 'a discovery fantasy'! i shld send him the recording. and, he even said to tell him when we have concerts in future... nice pal eh :) oh oh oh. cannot neglect to mention clare and chris who sportingly came too! (haha they have no choice anyway, i would have forced them to haha!) and who helped us bandits take batch photos... thanks loads, you two :) and the pretty cheery daisy which each of them gave me... i like! thank you! :D and my parents came too with my kor... and so i got nice flowers from them too :) nicest flower of all is that lovely deep red rose :) but next time u aren't allowed to spend so much $$$ ok? must save for more impt things... :) spent the day with clare chris and wei siong before going down to vch at 4 on that concert day. gave clare her xmas present from the both of us, which reminds me... oops sorry chris, your present is really very belated. haha. serves you right for always 'bad-mouthing' me! ~cheeky grin~ oh oh, THANKS for the card... which i would not have gotten if i had not demanded one from you... haha... which u specially woke up early to write... hahaha... i appreciate it! and u shld appreciate the practise i gave you in writing such cards! lalala... :D clare pang seh-ed me in piercing our ears... so i went ahead alone. heh. OUCH! and now the studs are still stuck there and i cant be bothered to get them out... cos they're really quite stuck! boo :X lunch at kopitiam, so funny we all got 默契 or something, all ordered from the same store :D then gai gai around... tried on clothes together with clare but didnt buy any haha, then erm upon my suggestion we went sakae sushi. haha. it was like 2+ 3 pm then, and i just wanted a place to sit and rest b4 going to vch mah. but i happily ordered food and cleared all the food virtually by myself... with clare exclaiming how come i can eat so much :D *oink oink!*

what else? i vaguely rmmr meeting py and jacja at paragorn, after which i finally met the ridiculous ridza, and we dined at tcc... heh. but ok, that was quite long ago. more recent would be jac dear coming over to my house! and how we cooked lunch together! haha. erm. we will improve! HEHE. and then watching the first few episodes of 流星花园 together... which got me hoooked... ahhh what a nice series! each member of the f4 has their own 魅力 to me. and haha yah i teared at quite a few touching scenes... wanna watch the whole series with a certain someone one day... :) dinner together with my family, then we went to city plaza! haha... too bad my persuasion skills not good enough to get jacjac to buy at least one piece of clothing. hee. oh but at least my bro settled his cny clothing then liaos :P and mum bought a top and a skirt as well :)

and i guess that leaves... batch chalet. haha. was somewhat upset about it... ah well. my own fault, for giving wrong signals in a way... was busy preparing presents and all the whole afternoon so i was late and everyone was already playing at the beach when i finally arrived. (thank God for hearing my prayer so that i 'coincidentally' met ttk who helped my lug my stuff hehe. :D ) was tired... hadnt been sleeping much the past few nights. and had just gone to see doc that morn. cos of the feng1 mo4 rashes thingy... decided to just stay in the room.(since we pay for the room, might as well utilise it mah. and besides, since everyone was out playing, i had the luxury of having it all to myself :D ) needed the time to cheorograph my dance also... lesson was the next day and erm all i had was the unpractised chorus steps :X the others came back ard 7 plus... and went to bk for dinner. i chose not to cos i still felt like lazing in the room, not cos i wanted to as them. ah wells. and ok i admit i was lured by the 7 pm show. finally had a chance to watch it! heh. so yah i stayed back... besides, i was already full from snacking on chips and cookies and what not... so the lazy me was reluctant to leave the room. after dinner was gift exchange... then some pple left, and later most of them decided to go to the bar to see see. cos he didnt want me to make a habit of drinking, i chose not to go. i guess all the 'no(s)' i'd given made everyone think i wanted to be left alone or something... that i wanted to just spend time with him... well yes of cos i'd like to spend time with him, but yah it was after all a chalet, i wanted to hang out with the batch... i and the earlier 'no(s)' that i gave were in part due to me wanting to conserve energy so that i'd be able to stay up the whole night... i didnt even realise i had been curt to pple... i didnt notice, i didnt think i had been... oh wells. it felt ... i dunno how to descirbe it, but it definitely wasnt a nice feeling after that, to feel left out by my own batch mates at a batch chalet. feeling was strongest when they were playing 'polar bear'... without us, without me. ah wells. glad they all had fun though. didnt get to play with the remainder of the sparklers... a pity. my fault for being over sensitive and petty tho in the middle of the night... sorry dear... anyhow, the being left out feeling lingered, so much so that i cldnt bear to say a decent good bye to the others having breakfast at macs. i just wanted to 'escape' them.

new zealand natural ice cream and narnia! i fell asleep :( heh. goes to show that i really cant control myself with reagrds to my tendencies to nod off... boo. heh.

xmas dinner with my family, midnight mass, xmas service with you at bethel, xmas day at your place :) the best xmas gift was your salvation :) Praise God :) tho obstacles stand in our way... we'll trust in Jesus to pave the way :) after service, roamed ard bugis city hall area, bought more presents, met my mei and mei's mei :)

thanksgiving service... cousin dear proposed that we all learn to dance something and perform for thanksgiving this year :) i'm all for it! i wanna learn ballet, and huifang also wants to... hehe :) teared in service at the thought of you. wished you were by my side :)

haha. i was trying to rmmr how i spent my new year's eve. after thanksgiving service, cld have gone out with cousin, fang, jing min they all for supper... but went home cos i wanted to talk to you, and because i had a slight fever. haha. cousin dear was sweet, she went out in the middle of service to buy panadol for me :)

new year's day, mother's side family gathering... nice to meet up with everyone! now that i'm older and more confidence, can enjoy chats with the older cousins. haha. tho erm was watching tv rather often heh. sat in service with u on my left that morning... happiness :) and how we walked to paya lebar haha. and waved to each other, u at the platform, me at the traffic light... =)

oh yes! rv + yuhua alumni concert... nice! kah chun's solos were all so lovely! the rose... ahhhh.... nicey nice nice :)

cant rmmr when, but there was also the alex amir jacjac wei siong me outing... where jacjac's phone got stolen. that jerk who stole her phone! GRRRRR...

okay, time to end all the recalling for now... but b4 i do, must exclaim first how wonderful it was to hear my dear TWW's voice again! i love ya babe... waiting for you to set our *ahem* up ok! and u can patiently wait for ur belated xmas present... thanks :)

2005's been an eventful year. i feel i've learnt many things, and finally begun to really find myself. this new year, i want to dedicate it to my Lord. my first resolution for the new year, and the most important... to seek to bring His name glory, to seek to bring His name honour, to seek to magnify His name in everything i do... :)

i love you Jesus.
